GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg men's lacrosse head coach
Peter Toner has announced the team's captains for the 2026 season.
Senior
Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School), senior
Benny Kasoff (Leesburg, Va./Riverside) and junior
Brian Delduchetto (Weston, Mass./Weston) will lead the Bullets for the upcoming season.
Hedley is a captain for the second straight season.
Hedley, a long-stick midfielder, was a first-team All-CC honoree last year. A third-team USILA All-American, he appeared in all 20 games and picked up a team-high 62 ground balls. He was second on the team with 26 caused turnovers. The long-pole also contributed eight goals and six assists to the offense. He had two goals and an assist against Washington and Lee on Mar. 8. He picked up a season-high seven ground balls at Muhlenberg on Mar. 29.
Kasoff, a midfielder, appeared in all 20 games last season. He chipped in four assists while also adding 23 ground balls and four caused turnovers. He had three ground balls and two caused turnovers against the Generals on Mar. 8.
Delduchetto, a defender, started all 20 games. He was third on the team with 23 caused turnovers and fifth with 33 ground balls. He also added a goal against Swarthmore on Mar. 22. He had two games with four ground balls and two caused turnover, including in the NCAA quarterfinals at No. 1 Tufts on May 17.
"We are very excited to have these three men, elected by their peers and coaches, leading the 2025-2026 men's lacrosse team," Toner said. "They all bring a ton of leadership qualities and game experience as we head into the spring. Will has proven to be one of the best LSM's in the country and brings leadership experience as a junior captain of last year's team. Benny and Brian have been significant contributors throughout their time on campus and have really stepped up into this new role. We are all excited to see them lead the team throughout the off season, and into a very challenging spring ahead. We know they will represent the Bullets to the best of their ability by example, an serving the rest of the team."
The 2025 season opens against Christopher Newport in Severna Park, Md. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Game time is 1 p.m.
