THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg never trailed in the game, building a lead as large as nine in the second half and the defense stood strong on the final possession for a 61-58 win over Stockton.

Aidan Mess (Columbia, Md./Mt. St. Joseph) led the Bullets with 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.

Nate Williams (Morganville, N.J./St. John Vianney) three-point play with 17:24 showing put Gettysburg in front. Jahmir Payoute hit the first of two free throws to make it 5-3 before Williams and
Ray Zamloot combined for a 5-0 run to open up a 10-3 lead with 15:10 showing. Holding a 13-6 lead, the Ospreys scored the next five to close to within 13-11 but a
Reece Craft (Downingtown, Pa./Devon Prep) three-point play pushed the lead back to five midway through the half. An Andrew Crawford driving layup tied the game at 24-all with 2:45 to play.
Aidan Mess responded with a jumper and Zamloot hit another triple on the next two possession before
Caleb Gillus (Falls Church, Va./Sidwell Friends School [D.C.]) made it a 31-24 game at the break.
• Logan Mckee closed the deficit to 34-30 early in the second half but baskets from Radulovic and Craft stretched the lead back to eight a minute later. The teams traded mini-runs before a Zamloot second-chance trey made it 48-39 with 8:25 remaining. Trailing 53-46, Campbell and Devon Johnson both hit 3-pointer to close the margin to one with 4:14 on the clock. Radulovic and Justin Harper traded buckets before two free throws each from Mess and
Malachi Briscoe (California, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) extended the lead back to five with 2:20 to play. After two Harper free throws, Mess hit the first of two from the charity stripe before Charlie Bell drove the lane to make it a two-point game with 90 seconds left. One more Mess free throw made it a three-point game with 19 ticks remaining. Stockton got off a potential game-tying 3-pointer but it missed. The Ospreys had one more chance with an out of bounds play under with 1.2 seconds left but Mess stole the inbounds pass to seal the win.
