THE SKINNY STORY
Shenandoah held Gettysburg to just 26 points through the game's first 24 minutes and went on to notch a 63-52 win on the first day of the Randolph-Macon Tip-Off Classic.

THE LEADERS
Reagan Chrencik (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) led the Bullets 15 points and seven rebounds.

FOR THE FOES
• Addisyn Banks led the Hornets with 21 points that included hitting 11 of 12 free throws. She also had seven rebounds.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Behind five points from Addisyn Banks, Shenandoah jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the game's first 4:28 that included scoring the game's first six points. Out of a stoppage, Reagan Chrencik scored her second basket of the game to spark a 10-1 counter to give Gettysburg its first lead at 12-11 with 2:29 showing. Jameson Mott (Evergreen, Colo./Evergreen) drained a pair of 3-pointers during the run. The teams traded points over the remainder of the quarter with Taylor Moran hitting a pair of free throws at the end of the quarter for a 15-14 edge.
• Moran then hit a driving layup in the opening minute of the second period to stretch the lead to three. A Skai Bayless triple made it 20-16 with 4:08 remaining. A Briana Robles (Westchester, N.Y./Poly Prep) three-point play with 54 ticks remaining closed the deficit to 22-21 at the intermission.
• The Hornets tallied the first seven points of the third quarter before Ava O'Neil (Chevy Chase, Md./St. John's College) canned a 3-pointer with 7:25 on the clock to make it 29-24. Jessica Littlejohn extended the lead to 34-26 midway through the quarter before the teams combined to hit 8 of 10 free throws. Sarah Bertolette (Farmington, Conn./Farmington) snapped a 5-minute, 15-second stretch in which the teams went 0-for-13 from the floor with five turnovers, making it a 39-33 game with 46 seconds left in the third.
• A Sasha Brody (Lynchburg, Va./Virginia Episcopal Academy) hit a pull-up just over a minute into the fourth quarter and the Bullets scored the first eight points of the period to take their first lead of the game. Two Banks free throws with 7:09 showing halted a scoring drought of 4:17 and 13-0 Gettysburg run to make it 42-41. That started a 15-3 Shenandoah run to reopen a nine-point lead with 3:11 to play. Jumpers from Kimberly Hopkins (Baldwin, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) and Chrencik pulled the Bullets back with 54-49 with 2:28 but that's as close as Gettysburg could get.

THE INSIDE STORY
Skylar Reale (Warren, N.J./Morristown Beard) pulled down 11 rebounds as part of Gettysburg's 46-42 edge on the glass. She also had three blocked shots.
• The Bullets shot just 30.5 percent for the game and held Shenandoah to 29.8 percent from the floor. Both teams were 4-for-21 from 3-point range but the Hornets hit 25 of 31 free throws while Gettysburg was 12 of 18.
