THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg scored 11 runs in each game to sweep a season-opening doubleheader from Penn College. The Bullets took game one 11-3 before claiming the nightcap, 11-1.
THE LEADERS

Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) led the Bullets with a 3-for-6 twinbill, scoring three runs with four RBIs. He also walked twice and had a double.
FOR THE FOES
• Shane Townsend was one of three Wildcats with two hits in game one. He also had an RBI and stole a base.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Jack Burke (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) and
Adam Hicks (Edgewater, Md./Gilman School) drew back-to-back walks to lead off the home first before a one-out
Will Stellato single through the right side scored Burke for a 1-0 lead.

Matthew Vivona (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) led off the second with a walk before two two-out walks loaded the bases for the top of the order. A Burke RBI groundout plated Vivona for a 2-0 lead.
• Nathan Gustkey poked a one-out single in the fourth before a balk, error and McGwire Heverly sacrifice fly cut the deficit in half.

Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) was hit by a pitch to start the home fifth. After a Burke single up the middle, Pistner drew a one-out walk to load the bases. A Stellato walk forced in Murphy before
Michael Fischetti (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) poked a two-run single for his first collegiate hit and RBI to make it 5-1.

Brendan Laqui (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) walked in the sixth. After a sacrifice, a walk and wild pitch put runners at the corners, a safety squeeze from Hicks stretched the lead to 6-1. A stolen base and throwing error plated Burke before a Pistner double and Stellato single extended the advantage to 8-1.
Will Roche (Milton, Mass./Boston College H.S.) sent a pinch-hit triple to right for his first Gettysburg hit and made it 9-1. A throwing error and

• Jaydon Goebel led off the seventh with a single through the right side. A wild pitch and throwing error put runners at the corners with one out before Dallas Griess singled home Goebel. Shawn Townsend reached on a two-out infield single to score Jaiden Augustine for the final margin.
• In game two, a pair of free passes with one out before doubles from Stelatto and Vivona around a Fischetti RBI groundout staked Gettysburg to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. A Burke double and Hicks RBI single stretched the advantage to 4-0 in the second.
• With two outs in the third, a walk, Ethan Stahl infield single, throwing error and wild pitch got the Wildcats on the board in the third. Gettysburg, however, drew five free passes around RBI knocks from Vivona and Hicks in the bottom of the frame to push the lead to 8-1.
• The Bullets used four more walks to tack on three more runs in the fourth. Hicks added an RBI single in the frame for the 11-1 final
THE INSIDE STORY

Will Stellato had two hits and three RBIs to lead the offense in game one.

Alex Wilkie-Viscio (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) fanned five with no walks, scattering four hits in five innings to pick up the victory in game one.

John Francesconi (Syracuse, N.Y./Marcellus) threw four shutout innings in relief with five strikeouts and no walks to claim the game-two win.

Adam Hicks went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the nightcap.
•
Matthew Vivona had two hits and two RBIs in game two.
