THE SKINNY STORY
Gwynedd Mercy scored the final four runs of the game to hand No. 21 Gettysburg its first loss of the season 6-4, snapping the Bullets' program-record 15-game winning streak to start a season.

• Cooper Root went 3-for-5 with three RBIs to lead the Griffins.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Cooper Root reached on an error to start the game before Ryan Horner lofted a triple to the gap for a 1-0 lead. A Sam Junker RBI groundout staked Gwynedd Mercy to an early 2-0 lead.
• With one out in the bottom of the frame,
Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) reached on a fielding error.
Jack Pistner (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) then drew a walk before a
Matt Nichols (White Plains, N.Y./Byram Hills) singled home Stellato.
Michael Fischetti (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) followed with a double to tie the game before a
Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) gave Gettysburg a 3-2 lead.
• One-out singles from
Robert Murphy and
Jack Burke (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) put runners at second and third for Stellato, whose sacrifice fly made it 4-2.
• Ricky Templeton led off the fourth with a single through the left side before a flyout and fielder's choice put Drew Haines at first with two outs. Chris Nodeland and Root each followed with singles to close the deficit to 4-3.
• Templeton led off the sixth with a single before a pitching change. A Deven Ross walk and sacrifice bunt put two in scoring position. After a flyout, Root lined a single into center to score both runners and give the Griffins a 5-4 lead.
• A one-out double from Sam Junker in the ninth, infield single and groundout had runners at second and third with two outs. A wild pitch on a walk pushed the lead to 6-4 and Michael Inglisa pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth to finish off the three-inning save – his first of the season.

Alex Bergen (Potomac, Md./Good Counsel) struck out four in 3 1/3 innings of relief work but was tagged with the loss.
