LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg needed extra innings in both games but came away with a sweep of Bridgewater, taking game one 2-1 before grabbing the nightcap 5-3 on Sunday. Paige Forry picked up the win for the Bullets in both games, going the distance in game one with eight strikeouts before throwing the final two innings of game two. NO. 17 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg rose to 17th in the latest NFCA Div. III coaches' poll on Tuesday. The Bullets debuted at 24th two weeks ago before rising to 21st last week. The No. 17 national ranking is not only the best in program history but it is the highest known ranking for any Centennial Conference softball team.
IT STARTS IN THE CIRLCE: Gettysburg pitching is near the top of Division III to start the season. The Bullet staff is currently ranked in the top 25 in ERA (1.58), shutouts (4), strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.64), and WHIP (1.05). Paige Forry leads Division III with 12 wins in the circle and is third in complete games with 10. Her four individual shutouts is fourth in the nation.
