THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked 10th in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll, got goals from nine different players to aid in a 16-13 win at No. 9 Washington and Lee.
THE LEADERS

Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) led the Bullets with four goals.

Charlie Johnson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) added three goals and two assists to go with five ground balls.

THE REST OF THE STORY

Jackson Barroll scored twice in the game's first 3:10 to stake Gettysburg to an early 2-0 lead. After James Haley and
Jack Dunleavy (New Providence, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) traded goals, Robert Bath once against pulled Washington and Lee within one with 7:59 to play. Just 21 seconds later,
Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) found the back of the net to start a 5-1 run that went into the second quarter.

Jackson Hearn (Houston, Texas/Episcopal Bellaire) gave the Bullets the five-goal lead just 3:21 into the second period. After two General tallies just 49 seconds apart, Gettysburg scored the final two of the opening half for a 10-5 lead.
• Barroll stretched the run to three straight in the opening 2:11 of the third quarter. The teams traded two-goal runs before Sam Bassett made it a 13-8 game in the final minute of the period.
• Two Hills Burns scores in the first two minutes of the final quarter cut the margin to three. After a second Hedley marker, Joey Allen and Burns closed the deficit to 14-12 with 11:49 to play. Barroll and
Charlie Johnson, however, sandwiched goals around a James Meyer tally for the final margin.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 49-42 advantage in shots while Washington and Lee had a 42-30 advantage in ground balls.
• The Generals won 26 of 32 faceoffs behind a 24-for-30 day from Tyler Spano.

Owen McAllister (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic) led the defense with three caused turnovers and a ground balls.

Will Hedley finished with two goals and an assist, adding two ground balls and two caused turnovers.
