Gettysburg prevented the Diplomats from getting a 7-0 win by earning the win at first singles.
THE LEADERS
- Sarah Guistwite (Carlisle, Pa., Wilson Hill Academy) led the Bullets winning at No. 1 singles only dropping one game, 6-0, 6-1, against Franklin & Marshall's Jenna Harrison. Her and Shoshi Dondes (Pikesville, Md., Beth Tfiloh) competed at first doubles losing by only two.
- Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va., George Mason) won 7-5 in her first set at second singles before dropping the second by the same score. The Diplomats took the match in a 10-3 tiebreaking set.
FOR THE FOES
- Mackenzie Sherman led for Franklin & Marshall only dropping one game at third singles beating the Bullets 6-1, 6-0.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Shoshi Dondes (Pikesville, Md., Beth Tfiloh) collected a few game wins for the day at fourth singles however the Diplomats took the win 6-1, 6-1.
- Harper Wood (Omaha, Neb., Gretna) had one game win in her second set against Rebecca Bellick however it wasn't quite enough to win the No. 6 singles. Her and Mia Graham (Pennellville, N.Y., John C. Birdlebough) also collected a game win at third doubles before dropping 6-1 to F&M's Amelia Squires and Sophia Rhazali.
