THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked ninth in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll, took a 4-0 lead fewer than seven minutes into the game and cruised to a 20-10 win over Ursinus.
THE LEADERS

Jack Dunleavy (New Providence, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) led the Bullets with three goals, three assists, a ground ball and caused turnover.

Charlie Johnson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) added three goals and three assists of his to go with a ground ball.

• Harry Sweitzer led the Bears with four goals and two assists.

Charlie Johnson opened the scoring off a feed from
Stokes Myers (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell Academy) just 4:07 into the game. Johnson then found
Ethan Kessler (Ridgefield, Conn./Millbrook School) for a 2-0 lead less than a minute later. Myers then found the back of the net off a pass from
Jack Dunleavy with 8:36 showing and
Patrick Maroney (Hingham, Mass./Boston College H.S.) capped the early run of four goals by four different players with an unassisted tally 35 seconds later. Lars Homan broke up the shutout off a cross-field pass from Harry Sweitzer with 2:13 to play in the opening period.
• Christopher Pucciare made it 4-2 just a minute into the second quarter before the Bullets put together a 7-1 run. Maroney hit Dunleavy with 11:45 showing before Dunleavy and Kessler connected twice in a 33-second span on a locked-in penalty for two man-up tallies to make it 7-2 with 9:15 to play. Johnson then found Dunleavy for an 8-2 lead with 8:19 on the clock. After Sweitzer returned the favor for Homan,
Nicholas Limberg (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. John the Baptist Diocesan) found the back of the net and Johnson scored two more for an 11-3 advantage with 3:00 to play. Sweitzer netted his third point of the day with 2:11 remaining to make it 11-4 at the break.
• After a Dunleavy solo run with 10:27 showing,
Jackson Alpaugh (Darien, Conn./Westminster School) took a pass from
Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) and fired home his first collegiate goal 22 seconds later. Hedley then added a goal to his tally 89 seconds later. After a Daniel Kupiac tally,
Declan Mack (Wynnewood, Pa./Lower Marion) and
Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) got in on the scoring action to make it 16-5. Barrett Denlinger and Sweitzer closed the margin back to single digits after three quarters.

Raffael Katts (Easton, Conn./St. Joseph) scored his first two collegiate goals – the first coming off
Owen Carr's (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Academy of the New Church) pass for the sophomore's first career point. Senior
Jake McLoy (Hingham, Mass./Thayer Academy) picked up his first collegiate assist when Limberg scored his third with 8:44 to play. Homan, Kupiec and Sweitzer all scored in the final 5:13 for Ursinus.
THE INSIDE STORY
• With the victory, Gettysburg clinches a spot in the Centennial Conference tournament. The Bullets are alone in first place with three games to play after Muhlenberg defeated Franklin & Marshall.

Nicholas Limberg recorded his first collegiate hat trick on the day with three goals.

Cisco Celotto (Westport, Conn./Staples) won 13 of 16 faceoffs to lead a 19-for-33 day at the X for the team.

Frank Barbera (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) led the defense with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
•
Will Hedley added six ground balls and a caused turnover to his goal and assist.
• Gettysburg scored a season-high 20 goals and recorded 35 points from 14 different players. The Bullets had a 54-31 advantage in shots and 38-28 advantage in ground balls.
