Dickinson scored 10 runs in the third inning to defeat No. 16 Gettysburg 12-10 and claim the season split.

• Josh Markley led the Red Devils with a 3-for-4 day, driving in two with two runs scored and a walk.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Jack Burke (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) led off the game with a solo home run left field. A two-out
Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) double and
Dominick Balsamo's (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) first career home run staked Gettysburg to a 3-0 lead.
• Matt Torres led off the home second with a home run of his own to pull Dickinson within 3-1.
• A Burke double and
Jack Pistner single to start the third stretched the lead to 4-1.
• Shawn Arneja led off the bottom of the inning with a single before moving to second on a sacrifice. A Ryan Thompson double made it 4-2 before three straight singles tied the game. After a fielding error loaded the bases, Luke Gartland singled to score two runs for a 6-4 lead. A double steal, strikeout and passed ball made it 7-4 before Arneja singled for an 8-4 lead to force a pitching change. A triple, single and two walks capped the 10-run frame to give the Red Devils an 11-1 lead.

Matt Nichols (White Plains, N.Y./Bryam Hills) walked with one out in the sixth before a
Will Roche (Milton, Mass./Boston College H.S.) single and catcher's interference loaded the base. A
Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) RBI fielder's choice scored Nichols to make it 11-5.
• A Pister single and Balsamo sacrifice fly cut the margin to 11-6 in the seventh.
• Murphy singled with one out in the eight before a Burke double put runners at second and third. Pistner followed with a two-run single before Amirata and Nichols singled around a Balsamo walk to pull Gettysburg to 11-10.
• Markley walked with two outs in the bottom of the inning before stealing second and scoring on a Schmidt single to add an insurance run.
