THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel scored the final five runs of the game to rally for a 12-11 victory over No. 21 Gettysburg in a game called after eight innings due to darkness.
THE LEADERS

Dominick Balsamo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xaverian) led the Bullets with three hits and four RBIs, including his second home run in as many days in the first inning.

• Shea McKenna led the Green Terror with three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Will Stellato (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) beat out a two-out comebacker in the bottom of the first.
Jack Amirata (Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) followed with a walk before
Dominick Balsamo sent a 2-1 pitch over the fence in right-center for a 3-0 lead.
• A throwing error, sacrifice and two wild pitches pushed the Gettysburg lead to 4-0 in the second inning.
• Ben Davis walked to start the fourth inning before Ethan Haddock grounded into a fielder's choice for the first out. Shea McKenna and Thomas Mezzullo each followed with singles to load the bases. Quinn Dean then cleared them, taking an 0-2 pitch to the gap for a triple. He then scored on a Matt Fuller single up the middle to tie the game.

Robert Murphy (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) led off the bottom of the inning with an infield single before a throwing error allowed him to take second. After a fielding error made it 5-4, a Stellato one-out single plated
Jack Burke (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) from second for a 6-4 lead. A second walk to Amirata and Balsamo RBI single stretched the advantage to 7-4.
Matt Nichols (White Plains, N.Y./Byram Hills) doubled off the fence to extend the lead to 8-4 before a squeeze and
Brian Andersen (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) double capped a six-run frame for a 10-4 lead.
• An error and Davis single put runners at the corners in the top of the fifth for McDaniel. Haddock followed with an infield single and McKenna added a two-run double to cut the deficit in half and make it 10-7.
• Burke led off the home fifth with a double down the line before scoring on a two-out Amirata single extended the advantage to 11-7.
• Joey Hubinger and Henry Novario each singled in the top of the sixth to put runners at the corners. A one-out Haddock infield single scored Hubinger before a walk and Mezzullo single cut the deficit to one. McKenna then scored the tying run on a Dean RBI groundout.
• Shane Daly led off the seventh with a single before stealing second and then moving to third on a Hubinger sacrifice. He then scored on a wild pitch for a 12-11 lead.
