FIRST PITCH: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 131st all-time meeting between No. 16 Gettysburg (24-7, 3-6 CC) and McDaniel (14-15-1, 5-4 CC) in a series that dates back to 1888. The Bullets lead the all-time series 87-40-3 but the Green Terror swept last year's season series.
LAST SEASON'S SERIES: McDaniel jumped out to a 7-1 lead after two innings before staving off a comeback attempt from Gettysburg for a 12-6 win in Westminster. Jack Pistner led the Bullets with a 3-for-3 days, adding two RBIs, two walks and a run scored. Shea McKenna paced the Green Terror with two hits and three RBIs. In Gettysburg the following Sunday, McDaniel and Gettysburg were knotted 6-all going into the ninth inning, but the Green Terror scored four runs in the final inning for a 10-6 victory. Pistner led the offense with a pair of two-run home runs. He was 2-for-4 on the day with four RBI and one walk.
