THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg, ranked eighth in the latest USILA Div. III coaches' poll, went on three separate 4-0 runs to defeat Washington (Md.) 16-5 and secure the top seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference tournament.
THE LEADERS

Jack Dunleavy (New Providence, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) led the Bullets with four goals and two assists. He also had two ground balls.

Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) added three goals and an assist.

• Grant Matthews led the Shoremen with a goal and two assists.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Jackson Hearn (Houston, Texas/Episcopal Bellaire) found
Jack Dunleavy on the left wing just 52 seconds into the game for a 1-0 lead. Washington responded 100 seconds later, tying the game on a Parker Barta goal.
Frank Barbera (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) hit Dunleavy in transition and the senior found the back of the net with 6:58 showing.
Patrick Maroney (Hingham, Mass./Boston College H.S.) made it 3-1 with 4:40 on the clock before Dunleavy finished his hat trick in the final 10 seconds of the opening quarter.

Matt Maciolek (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) and Dunleavy each found the back of the net in the first 5:10 of the second quarter for a 6-1 lead. Grant Matthews found Cam Carrigan before finishing a pass from Ben Dickinson in less than a minute to cut the margin to 6-3 with 8:55 remaining. A
Jackson Barroll natural hat trick in a stretch of 6 minutes, 11 seconds made it 9-3 at the break. The run started when Barbera ran a fast break and flipped left to Dunleavy, who went behind his back to Barroll on the doorstep and the freshman finished his 27th goal of the year.

Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) went pole-to-pole goal off the third-quarter faceoff for a 10-3 lead. Cory Morgan scored a man-up tally to make it 10-4 midway through the period. However,
Cooper Savoy (Killingsworth, Conn./Notre Dame West Haven) netted his second from distance just over a minute later. Hearn then scored when Barroll found him from behind the cage and then
Jackson Alpaugh (Darien, Conn./Westminster School) scored twice in 73 seconds to make it 14-4 after three quarter.
JP Meyo (Westfield, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) led a fastbreak and found Alpaugh for his first collegiate point on the helper.
• After Jimmy Galo opened the fourth-quarter scoring,
Owen Carr (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Academy of the New Church) went behind-the-back in front of the goal for his first career goal with 8:12 to play.
Nicholas Limberg (Dix Hills, N.Y./St. John the Baptist Diocesan) capped the scoring with 7:22 to play.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg is the top seed in the Centennial Conference tournament for the first time since 2018. The Bullets will go for their first 8-0 regular season conference slate since that year in the regular-season finale next Saturday.
• Gettysburg finished with a 54-27 advantage in shots and had a 44-27 advantage in ground balls.

Tate Kuster (Williamstown, Mass./The Williston Northampton School) won 12 of 18 faceoffs. He also picked up nine ground balls.

Frank Barbera added two ground balls to his career-high two assists.
