Gettysburg snagged one doubles and one singles win to pull points from Washington College before the Shorewomen won 6-1.
THE LEADERS
- Sarah Guistwite (Carlisle, Pa., Wilson Hill Academy) led the Bullets winning at first singles in a third set tiebreaker 13-11 after winning set one 6-1 and dropping set two 6-2. Her and Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va., George Mason) doubled at first doubles winning five games before dropping 7-5.
FOR THE FOES
- Eva Kading and Isabella Sorhegui won at second and third singles, respectively, only dropping one game each to lead the Shorewomen.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Shoshi Dondes (Pikesville, Md., Beth Tfiloh) and Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J., Summit) combined to win 6-3 at second doubles. Dondes put a fight with three game wins in set one and five game wins in set two before Washington College's Sofia Sperandei won at No. 5 singles.
- Mia Graham (Pennellville, N.Y., John C. Birdlebough) gave the Shorewomen a run with four game wins in set one before Gaby Coutts ultimately took the 6-4, 6-1 win at sixth singles.
- Kate Alianiello (Fairfield, Conn., Fairfield Ludlowe) had game wins in both sets before dropping 6-2, 6-2 at fourth singles.
