FIRST PITCH: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 190th all-time meeting between Gettysburg (27-10, 6-9 CC) and Franklin & Marshall (21-16, 7-8 CC) in a series that dates back to 1892. The Bullets lead the all-time series 114-73-1 but the Diplomats have won the last 10 matchups. The Bullets last victory was 10-2 in Lancaster on Apr. 16, 2019.

LAST SEASON'S SERIES: Franklin & Marshall used a six-run fourth inning to build a 7-1 lead before having to stave off a late comeback attempt by Gettysburg for an 11-8 victory in Lancaster on Friday. Jack Burke led the Bullets with two hits and two runs in the game. Michael von Zuben went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Diplomats. On Sunday in Gettysburg, the Bullets scattered seven hits and stranded 14 runners, falling to the Diplomats, 5-4. David Preziuso went 2-for-2 with a run, two walks, and two stolen bases. Franklin & Marshall's Dax Bush picked up the save by pitching the final two innings and striking out four of the six he faced. (Game 1 Recap) (Game 1 Box) (Game 2 Recap) (Game 2 Box)

LAST TIME OUT: Franklin & Marshall jumped out to a 5-1 lead through three innings and stranded the tying run on base in the top of the ninth inning to defeat Gettysburg 7-5 on Tuesday. Matt Nichols had two hits to lead the Bullets, including a one-out single in the ninth to start a stretch of four straight players to reach base. Nick Lorenzo led the Diplomats with a 3-for-4 day that included three runs scored. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

WHAT'S THE SCENARIO?: Gettysburg enters the final weekend of the regular season still in the mix for a spot in the Centennial Conference tournament. The standings are currently bunched with six teams all within two games of third place and battling for the final three playoff spots. A 3-0 weekend for the Bullets almost certainly will put Gettysburg into the five-team field but with 15 games remaining over the weekend, the actual scenarios are numerous.

ALL JACKED UP: Jack Pistner enters the final weekend of the regular season with 196 career hits, leaving him in need of four more base knocks to become the second Gettysburg player in program history to join the 200-hit club. Nate Simon '14 holds the program record with 204.

LAST TIME OUT: Nick Lorenzo and Bobby Falese each tallied three hits while Andrew Filippelli led the way with three RBI. The Diplomats also stole five bases in the 7-5 win over Gettysburg on Tuesday. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

IN THE MIX: Just like Gettysburg, Franklin & Marshall find itself in the six-team mix for three playoff spots entering the final weekend of the regular season. A Diplomat win this afternoon would go a long way in securing one of those Centennial Conference tournament bids in advance of closing the season with a doubleheader against Muhlenberg.
