GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg will host one of the two semifinals of 2025 Centennial Conference (CC) men's lacrosse championship tournament on Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.
In the five-team format, the top-seeded Bullets (12-3, 8-0 CC) will host the winner of Tuesday's first-round game between No. 4 Muhlenberg (9-8, 5-3 CC) and No. 5 Franklin & Marshall (11-5, 5-3 CC), which will begin at 7 p.m., while second-seeded Dickinson (11-5, 7-1 CC) hosts No. 3 Swarthmore (12-4, 5-3 CC) in the other semifinal on Friday at 4 p.m.
The semifinal winners will advance to Sunday's championship game, which will be played at the site of the highest remaining seed. Game time will be 1 p.m.
Tickets will be sold for each round of the CC tournament and will be available soon on the Centennial ticketing homepage. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students age 6 through high school and senior citizens. Children five and under as well as students and staff from conference institutions are free.
The tournament's champion will earn the CC's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III tournament, slated to begin on May 7 with eight first-round games. The second and third rounds will be held on May 10 and 11. The NCAA field will be announced on Sunday night at 9 p.m.
The Bullets are seeking their 16th conference title and first since 2016. It is the 23rd tournament straight appearance for Gettysburg. The Bullets also in search of their 29th NCAA tournament bid.
In the regular-season meeting between Gettysburg and Muhlenberg, the Bullets picked up a 10-9 overtime win in Allentown on Mar. 29. Gettysburg defeated Franklin & Marshall 11-10 in overtime in Lancaster on Saturday.
Jack Dunleavy (New Providence, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) leads the attack with 31 goals, 26 assists and 57 points.
Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) is second on the team with 30 goals while ranking third with 38 points.
Charlie Johnson (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) has 40 points on 29 goals and 11 assists.
Andy Marquet (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) leads the defense with 23 caused turnovers and has added 38 ground balls.
Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) has a team-best 51 ground balls and has matched Marquet with 23 caused turnovers. Frank Barbara (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) has 16 caused turnovers and 41 ground balls.
Murphy Hoey (Fairfield, Conn./Berkshire School [Mass.]) has a 9.32 goals-against average and .521 save percentage in goal this season.
