Gettysburg’s Dunleavy, Barbera to play in North/South All-Star game

BRISTOL, R.I. – Jack Dunleavy (New Providence, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) and Frank Barbera (Chatham, N.J./Chatham), seniors on the Gettysburg men's lacrosse team, have been selected as members of the South Team and will participate in the 2025 United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) North/South Senior All-Star Game.

The 81st annual contest will take place as part of championship weekend in the greater Boston area. The 30-man Division III South team will take on the North team as part of a doubleheader at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. on Friday. The Division III game will open the session at 4 p.m. followed by the Division I/II game at 6:30 p.m.

Dunleavy, a senior attacker, earned his second straight honorable mention USILA All-America nod after claiming his second straight first-team all-conference accolade. Starting all 20 games, he led the team with 72 points. He paced the team with 36 assists and was second on the team with 36 goals. He also added 20 ground balls and three caused turnovers. He had seven games this season with five or more points and nine multi-goal games eight games. He scored four goals in three games.

Barbera, a senior defender, was a first-team All-Centennial Conference (CC) player for the last three years and made his third appearance on the USILA All-America team, claiming third-team accolades after being tabbed honorable mention in 2023 and 2024. Starting all 20 games, he was third on the team with 52 ground balls and third with 23 caused turnovers. He also scored two goals and added two assists, including two helpers against Washington (Md.) on Apr. 19. He picked up three or more ground balls in 12 games and had three caused turnovers to go with four ground balls against Ursinus on Apr. 12.

The two Bullets are among seven CC seniors to earn the honor of playing in the prestigious event.

The Bullets concluded the season with an overall record of 15-4 (8-0 CC), advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament before falling to top-ranked Tufts on Saturday.
