INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Gettysburg will travel to Lexington, Va., at Washington and Lee for the 2025 NCAA Division III men's lacrosse second and third rounds, beginning on Saturday.
The Bullets (13-4) earned an at-large bid into the field after falling in the Centennial Conference (CC) championship on Sunday against Dickinson. Gettysburg is one of 13 at-large teams in the field of 40.
Gettysburg is making its 29th NCAA tournament appearance. The Bullets will take on Stevens in Saturday's second-round game, tentatively scheduled for 3 p.m. The host Generals will play against the winner of Wednesday's first-round game between Scranton and Immaculata. in the day's first game, tentatively slated for 12 p.m. The winners will meet in Sunday's third round. Game time is tentatively set for 3 p.m. Game times are yet to be confirmed by Washington and Lee.
The Bullets are have not played Stevens since defeating the Ducks 16-5 in the first round of the 2002 NCAA tournament in Gettysburg. The Orange and Blue defeated Washington and Lee 16-13 on Mar. 8 in Lexington.
Jack Dunleavy (New Providence, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) leads the attack with 64 points on a team-best 31 assists to go with 33 goals.
Jackson Barroll (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) leads the team with 34 goals while ranking second with 42 points.
Andy Marquet (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) leads the defense with 25 caused turnovers and has added 42 ground balls.
Will Hedley (Charlotte, N.C./The Hotchkiss School) has a team-best 56 ground balls and has 24 caused turnovers. He has also contributed eight goals and six assists. Frank Barbara (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) has 16 caused turnovers and 47 ground balls.
Murphy Hoey (Fairfield, Conn./Berkshire School [Mass.]) has a 9.35 goals-against average and .513 save percentage in goal this season.
