LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the Gettysburg men's outdoor track and field team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) team by virtue of their finishes at the championship on May 2-4.
Jack Regentin (Gettysburg, Pa./Biglerville) earned a spot on the second team while also claiming honorable mention honors.
Tyler Trout (Chester Springs, Pa./Owen J. Roberts),
Eli Steel (York, Pa./York Country Day School) and
Liam O'Meara (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) also were tabbed honorable mention.
Regentin was second in the discus while finishing third in the shot put. He picked up the silver medal and second-team honors with a throw of 45.92 meters. In the shot put, he claimed bronze and honorable mention nod with a throw of 15.16 meters.
Trout was third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.47 seconds. He nabbed the bronze medal on Sunday after qualifying fifth in Saturday's prelims, knocking more than three seconds off his qualifying time of 58.63 seconds.
Steel finished third in the long jump with a collegiate-best leap of 6.68 meters.
O'Meara finished third in the pole vault, clearing 4.30 meters to round out the medalists with his bronze on Friday.
David Magill (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Rye) garnered a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
The Bullets return to action at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday.
