GETTYSBURG, Pa. –
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley), a recent graduate and member of the Gettysburg softball team, has been named to the Academic All-America Division III softball third team selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday.
Forry is the 31st Bullet all-time to earn Academic All-America honors and the fourth different softball player. She is the first softball Academic All-American since Adrienne Rahs was a second-team selection in 2012. The psychology major advanced to the nation ballot after being tabbed Academic All-District on May 27.
On the field in 2025, the pitcher was the first All-American in program history, claiming second-team honors after making her third straight appearance on the all-region team. The Centennial Conference (CC) Pitcher of the Year for the third straight season, she appeared in 42 games with 33 starts. Recording 24 complete games that has included 10 shutouts, she went 30-7 in the circle with a 1.26 earned-run average. She struck out 215 batters in 216 innings while walking just 35. She also had four saves. Her strikeout totals and program-record wins are both best in the conference and top five in the nation. She had seven games this season with eight or more strikeouts and threw a perfect game against Stevens on Mar. 1.
Forry helped the Bullets to a program-record 41 wins and the team's first ever at-large bid into the NCAA tournament. Gettysburg hosted a regional for the first time, earning the regional title and advancing to a superregional for the first time in program history.
For her career, she posted a program-record 68 wins to go with a program-record nine saves. Her 534 career strikeouts and 22 shutouts are both second in program history. She finished with a 1.71 ERA in 598 2/3 innings pitched.
Forry graduated cum laude with a minor in education. She was a member of the Psi Chi honor society
To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade-point average. A select group of the 1,172 Academic All-District selections advanced to the national ballot. A total of 33 individuals were honored across three teams with Academic All-America honors.
