LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2025 Regional Coaching Staffs of the Year on Wednesday and Gettysburg earned the Division III Region V honor.
Led by third-year head coach
Brooke Kalman, alongside assistant coaches
Tim Kelly,
Madelyn Yannetti and student assistant
Maddie Murphy, the Bullets had a record-setting season and were also named Centennial Conference (CC) Coaching Staff of the Year.
Gettysburg recorded the best record in program history with a mark of 41-8, becoming just the second team in CC history to reach the 40-win mark in a single season. The Bullets also garnered their highest-ever national ranking. Debuting in the weekly coaches' poll at 24th on Mar. 11, Gettysburg ascended as high as 13th on Apr. 8 and were in the top 20 nationally over the final eight polls of the season.
The Orange and Blue finished as runners-up in the conference but earned the program's first-ever at-large bid into the NCAA tournament and hosted a regional for the first time. Gettysburg went 3-0 in NCAA regional play to advance to the superregional, where the season ended in two games at No. 5 Virginia Wesleyan.
Paige Forry (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) and
Audrey Bergan (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./La Jolla Country Day School) became the first two players in program history to be named All-Americans. Forry was a second-team pitcher while Bergan was a third-team outfielder.
Forry was a three-time all-region selection and earned her third straight CC Pitcher of the Year honors. Her 215 strikeouts and 30 wins were both program records. She had seven games this season with eight or more strikeouts and threw a perfect game against Stevens on Mar. 1.
Bergan made her second all-region and second first-team all-conference appearances. She led the team and conference with a .466 average and a program-record 76 base hits and added a program-record 56 runs scored.
The Bullets finished the season with an overall record of 41-8 and went 15-1 in CC play.
