LANCASTER, Pa. – Julius Rigo (Coatesville, Pa./Collegium Charter), a freshman on the Gettysburg men's soccer team, and Sean Kennedy (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson), a senior, have been named Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Aug. 29-31.

It is the first weekly conference honor for both players.

Rigo led the Bullets (2-0) to a 2-0 start to the season, scoring three goals and adding an assist. In a 5-0 win at Widener on Friday, he recorded a goal and an assist before netting both goals in a 2-0 victory at Neumann on Saturday.

Kennedy backstopped the Gettysburg defense in a pair of shutouts to open the season. He started and played 80 minutes of a 5-0 win over Widener on Friday before going the distance with his first individual clean sheet in a 2-0 victory at Widener on Saturday. He made six saves on the weekend, including four in Saturday's shutout.

Gettysburg returns to action at home against Rowan on Friday. Game time is 7 p.m.
