THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg had two runners in the top 22 in its first 8,000-meter race of the season, finishing sixth in the long portion of the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational. The Bullets recorded 57 points.
THE LEADERS

Asher Leuzzi (Weston, Conn./Weston) led the Bullets with a 16th-place finish, posting a time of 27:21.1 in his first collegiate 8,000-meter race.
FOR THE FOES
• Messiah won the team title among the 19 complete teams in the 8,000-meter race with 19 points. The Falcons' Louka Fetter was first across the line in a time of 26:01.
THE REST OF THE STORY
•
Maddon McNicholas (Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley) crossed the line 22nd with a time of 27:45.1.
•
Colin Carpenter (Ridgefield, Conn./Wooster School) was 32nd with a time of 28:14.6.
•
Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va./Thomas Edison) finished 41st with a time of 28:37.4.
•
Jack Rogers (Gaithersburg, Md./Good Counsel) placed 54th with a time of 29:15.
•
Baxter Merriam (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough) was 64th (29:45.5) while
Jayden Craig (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was 77th (30:08).

Andrew Ersin (78th, 30:09.7),
Ben Cole (89th, 31:01.7),
Matthew Kurek (93rd, 31:12.7) and
Matthew Wagner (104th, 31:40.2) also competed at the championship distance.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 161 runners competed at the 8,000-meter distance.

Asher Leuzzi turned in the Bullets' 10th-ranked time on the course, which will host the 2025 NCAA Div. III Mid-Atlantic Regional in November.

Maddon McNicholas's time ranks 16th Gettysburg at Big Spring.
