THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg won the first two sets easily before Susquehanna prevailed in a back-and-forth third set but the Bullets had the answer in the fourth set for a 3-1 win.

THE LEADERS
• Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) led the Bullets with a career-high 18 kills to go with 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the year. She also chipped in three aces and two blocks.
• Clare Farrell (Livingston, N.J./Academy of St. Elizabeth) contributed 17 kills and hit .350 to go with four blocks.
• Ellen Manke (Madison, N.J./Morristown Beard School) hit .520 on the night, knocking down 14 kills with just one error in 25 attempts. She added five blocks.

FOR THE FOES
• Addison Dodge led the River Hawks with 12 kills and three blocks.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Three Erin Gonzalez kills around a Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) ace helped key a 4-0 start to the opening set and Gettysburg never trailed in the set. A Gonzalez kill made it 21-11 before she knocked down an ace. Ellen Manke and Clare Farrell then sandwiched a pair of blocks around a Manke knockdown for the 25-11 win.
• Kierra Fox (Phoenix, Ariz./Rancho Solano Prep School) served the first six points of the second set to set the tone for a 25-13 win.
• The third set featured 16 ties and six lead changes. Susquehanna built an early lead as large as 9-5 but a Gonzalez kill started a run of four straight points that she capped with an ace to tie the set at 9-all. Neither team led by more than two the rest of the way. Tied at 25-all, Addison Dodge and Makenzie Cober put down consecutive kills to force the fourth set.
• The fourth set was nearly as back-and-forth with eight ties and three lead changes. Tied for the final time at 16-all, Elle Lang (South Setauket, N.Y./Saint Anthony's) dropped down a kill. An error made it 18-16 and forced a timeout. Out of the stoppage, Farrell knocked down two more kills – part of the 13 she had in the final set. She had two more to help extend the advantage to 23-18 before Camille Ince made it 23-19. Gonzalez, though, had the final two kills of the night for the 25-19 victory.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Nala Shearer led the defense with 18 digs and three aces. Kierra Fox added 11 digs while Halle Feth (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) had 13 digs and 25 assists. Elle Lang contributed a career-high 11 digs.
