THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg scored 66 points to finish sixth at the 2026 Indoor Centennial Conference Championship hosted by Franklin & Marshall. The Bullets also earned one gold out of five medals total and four top-10 all-time finishes – two of which being new program records.
THE LEADERS
- Eli Steel (York, Pa., York Country Day School) led the Bullets with a record-breaking and season-best finish of 6.88 meters in the long jump earning himself the gold. He also placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 13.92 meters.
- Liam O'Meara (Ridgewood, N.J., Ridgewood) earned silver in the pole vault with his own record-breaking and season-best height of 4.60 meters. Mark Overlander (Marietta, Pa., Donegal) came right behind with bronze and a season-best vault of 4.45 meters which ranks fourth of program history.
- Jack Regentin (Gettysburg, Pa., Biglerville) added a second silver for the Bullets in shot put with a 15.07 meter toss. He also placed fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 14.80 meters.
- The quartet of Trey Hunter (Reinholds, Pa., Cocalico), Carter Harff (Pittsford, N.Y., Pittsford Mendon), Kyle Northrup (New Hope, Pa., New Hope-Solebury) and Andres Nunez-Castaneda (Morrisville, Pa., Notre Dame) combined to earn bronze in the 4x200 meter relay with a season-best time of 1:31.56.
FOR THE FOES
- Johns Hopkins won the title with 188 points, Ursinus finished second with 127 and Dickinson placed third with 104 points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Maddon McNicholas (Morgantown, Pa., Twin Valley) placed 12th in the 5,000 with a season-best time of 15:36.58 which ranks sixth in program history. He also came in 18th in the 3,000 with a time of 9:00.70.
- David Magill (Mamaroneck, N.Y., Rye Neck), Rouri Takahashi (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Wilbraham & Monson Academy), Mick Lorenger (Alexandria, Va., Thomas Edison) and Jack Taylor (Mohnton, Pa., Twin Valley) combined to finish sixth in the distance medley relay with a season-best time of 10:43.74.
- Carter Harff (Pittsford, N.Y., Pittsford Mendon), Takahashi, Kyle Northrup (New Hope, Pa., New Hope-Solebury) and Andres Nunez-Castaneda (Morrisville, Pa., Notre Dame) finished sixth in the 4x400 meter relay with a season-best time of 3:30.14.
- The group of Isaac Parks-Gill (Lewistown, Pa., Mifflin County), Magill, Lorenger and Taylor combined for a sixth place finish in the 4x800 meter relay with a season-best time of 8:28.78.
- Tyler Trout (Chester Springs, Pa., Owen J. Roberts) came in eighth in the 60-meter hurdles prelims with a season-best time of 8.90 seconds to qualify for the finals where he placed seventh with a time of 8.93 seconds.
- Rouri Takahashi (Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Wilbraham & Monson Academy) competed in the 400 finishing eighth with a season-best time of 52.07 seconds.
- Joaquin Lalama (Quito, Pichincha, Ecuador, Colegio Americano de Quito) placed tenth in the triple jump with a season-best leap of 12.22 meters.
- Jack Taylor (Mohnton, Pa., Twin Valley) finished 11th in the mile with a season-best time of 4:29.15.
- Carter Harff (Pittsford, N.Y., Pittsford Mendon) came in 12th in the 200 with a season-best time of 23.35 seconds.
- Kyle Northrup (New Hope, Pa., New Hope-Solebury) competed in the 400 finishing 14th with a season-best time of 53.07 seconds.
- David Magill (Mamaroneck, N.Y., Rye Neck) placed 15th in the 800 with a season-best time of 2:00.75.
- Asher Leuzzi (Weston, Conn., Weston) finished 25th in the 5,000 with a season-best 16:00.19. John Murphy IV (Grantham, N.H., Northfield Mount Hermon School) finished behind Leuzzi in 29th with his own season-best time of 16:26.63.
THE INSIDE STORY
- Trey Hunter (Reinholds, Pa., Cocalico) came in sixth in the 60 meter prelims with a time of 7.08 seconds to qualify for the finals where he placed eighth with a time of 7.15 seconds.
- Andres Nunez-Castaneda (Morrisville, Pa., Notre Dame) competed in the 400 coming in sixth with a time 51.78 seconds. He also came in 11th in the 200 with a time of 23.15 seconds.
- Stefano Orlando (Norwalk, Conn., New Canaan) placed seventh in the heptathlon with 3,482 points. Among his finishes in the seven-event multi was a second place finish in shot put with a season-best 11.41 meter throw, a season-best 7.31 seconds to finish third in the 60, and a season-best vault of 3.10 meters to place third.
- Andrew Oshetski (Freeport, Maine, Freeport) finished 16th in shot put with a toss of 11.16 meters.
- Adam Balthaser (Mohnton, Pa., Governor Mifflin) came in 23rd in the 400 with a time of 55.56 seconds.
- Colin Carpenter (Ridgefield, Conn., Wooster School) competed in the 5,000 finishing 37th with a time of 16:26.63.
