MANHEIM, Pa. – Five members of the Gettysburg men's wrestling team were announced as 2026 Division III Men's Scholar All-American Award recipients, released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) on Thursday.
Junior
Brendan Callahan (Woolrich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional), sophomore
Joseph Dietz (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial), freshman
Jake Mitchell (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley), senior
Justin Richey (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) and senior
Simon Taylor (Alexandria, Va./Woodbury Forest School) earned the honors for the Bullets.
They were among 473 honorees from 105 institutions were honored. To be recognized, student-athletes have demonstrated excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. Athletically, an individual must have placed in the top eight in the regional tournament or wrestled in at least 15 matches with a winning percentage of 66 percent or better. Academically, an individual must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2 or an average GPA of 3.2 or greater over the last two semesters.
