THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg scored 38.50 points to finish eighth at the Messiah Invitational. The Bullets earned three top three marks at the meet.
THE LEADERS
- Mark Overlander led the Bullets with a second place finish in pole vault. He had a season-best and Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying height of 4.33 meters.
- Jack Taylor placed third in the 1500 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 4:09.08. He also had a season-best finish in the 800 with a time of 2:05.92 to place 34th.
- Liam O'Meara finished third in pole vault with a season-best and CC-qualifying vault of 4.18 meters.
FOR THE FOES
- Messiah won the meet with 105 points, Eastern placed second with 75 and Mount St. Mary's came third with 65.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Colin Carpenter came in sixth in the 10,000 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 33:38.44.
- Rouri Takahashi competed in the 400 finishing eighth with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 50.95 seconds.
- Dom Roussos finished eighth in javelin with a season-best and CC-qualifying throw of 53.44 meters.
- Kyle Northrup placed ninth in 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 50.99 seconds. He also placed 37th in the 200 with another season-best and CC-qualifying time of 23.39 seconds.
- Jayden Craig finished 14th in the steeplechase with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 10:51.94.
- Adam Balthasar came in 38th in the 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 54.21 seconds.
- Nick Glass competed in the 100 meter prelims finishing 44th with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 11.55 seconds however, he did not start in the finals. He also came in 54th in the 200 with a season-best time of 23.91 seconds.
- Pat Zoccolillo placed 61st in the 100 meter prelims with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 11.97 seconds however, he did not start in the finals. He added a second CC-qualifying time of 66.97 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles to place 24th.
- Jack Regentin finished fifth in shot put with a CC-qualifying toss of 14.35 meters. He added a second and third CC-qualifying mark of 42.28 meters in discus finishing sixth and of 39.50 meters in hammer to finish 20th.
- Jeremy Cruz placed 33rd in javelin with a CC-qualifying throw of 43.83 meters.
- Joaquin Lalama came in 37th in long jump with a CC-qualifying leap of 5.32 meters.
- David Magill competed in the 1500 finishing seventh with a season-best time of 4:14.45.
- John Murphy IV placed 14th in the 1500 with a season-best time of 4:18.37. He added another season-best time of 2:05.77 in the 800 to place 33rd.
- Asher Leuzzi finished 15th in the 800 with a season-best time of 2:03.41. He added a second season-best time of 25.50 seconds in the 200 finishing 78th
- Andrew Ersin came in 17th in the 10,000 with a season-best time of 35:04.55.
- Baxter Merriam competed in the 1500 finishing 18th with a season-best time of 4:20.76. He also finished 79th in the 200 with another season-best time of 25.53 seconds.
- Jack Rogers placed 19th in the 1500 with a season-best time of 4:21.06. He also came in 22nd in the 800 with a time of 2:04.24.
- Ben Cole came in 23rd in the 10,000 with a season-best time of 35:46.38.
- Matthew Kurek competed in steeplechase placing 23rd with as season-best time of 11:20.12.
- Maddon McNicholas finished 28th in the 800 with a season-best time of 2:04.78. He also competed in the 1500 finishing sixth with a time of 4:14.30.
- Grant Lefchak came in 53rd in shot put with a season-best toss of 10.60 meters. He also placed 62nd in discus with a 27.95 meter throw and 72nd in the hammer with a toss of 18.32 meters.
- Andrew Oshetski competed in discus finishing 57th with a season-best toss of 29.87 meters. He also added a 40th place finish in shot put with a distance of 11.23 meters and 60th place finish in hammer with a throw of 28.50 meters.
- Henry Mahoney placed 65th in shot put with a season-best 9.68 meters. He added another season-best finish in hammer with a throw of 22.65 meters to place 69th. Mahoney also competed in discus finishing 64th with a throw of 27.42 meters.
- Isaac Parks-Gill finished 75th in the 200 with a season-best time of 25.03 seconds. He also placed 19th in the 800 with a time of 2:03.88.
