THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg scored 53 points to finish fifth at the Messiah Invitational. The Bullets earned three top-10 all-time finishes as well four top three marks.
THE LEADERS
- Bethany Rolley led the Bullets placing sixth in pole vault with a season-best, Centennial Conference (CC)-qualifying, and program record-breaking vault of 3.40 meters.
- Jenna Weylman finished eighth in the 200 with a personal, seasonal-best and CC-qualifying time of 26.27 seconds which ranks eighth in program history. She added another personal, seasonal-best and CC-qualifying time of 12.83 seconds to place 13th in the 100 meter prelims however, she did not start in the finals.
- Lillian Boudreau placed ninth in the 100 meter prelims with a personal and season-best time of 12.68 seconds however, she did not start in the finals. The CC-qualifying time ranks ninth in program history. She finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 64.68 seconds.
- Lea Del Grippo came in ninth in shot put with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying toss of 10.93 meters which ranks tenth in program history. She also placed 31st in hammer with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying toss of 30.42 meters. Del Grippo added two more CC-qualifying marks in discus finishing seventh with a distance of 32.31 and in javelin placing 22nd with a season-best distance of 25.76 meters.
- Carys Cook finished first in the steeplechase with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 11:59.85.
- Camryn Rogers came in second in the 400 with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 61.84 seconds. She added another season-best and CC-qualifying time in the 200 finishing 13th with a time of 26.95 seconds which was also a personal-best for Rogers.
- Sara Lessard competed in the 1500 coming in third with a personal-best, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 4:57.18. She added another personal and season-best time of 29.99 seconds to finish 46th in the 200.
FOR THE FOES
- Mount St. Mary's won the meet with 97 points, Messiah earned 82 points to finish second while Moravian placed third with 78.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Anna Hendrickson placed fourth in the 1500 with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 5:03.12. She added another personal and season-best time of 2:32.71 in the 800 coming in 27th.
- Sarah Smith finished fifth in the 1500 with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 5:03.63. She added a second personal and season-best time of 32.14 seconds to finish 52nd in the 200.
- Eliza Hoover came in ninth in the 800 with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 2:24.98.
- Danielle Fritchman competed in the 10,000 finishing 12th with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 44:17.14.
- Emma Marden finished 39th in the 100 meter prelims with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 13.41 seconds however, she did not start in the finals.
- Theresa Ditri came in 47th with a personal, season-best and CC-qualifying time of 14.04 seconds in the 100 meter prelims however, she did not start in the finals. Ditri added another season-best and CC-qualifying time of 78.17 seconds to finish 19th in the 400-meter hurdles.
- Abbey Woodcome competed in the 5,000 coming in fifth with a season-best and CC-qualifying time of 19:27.56.
- Caroline Gensinger placed ninth in hammer with a season-best and CC-qualifying throw of 38.68 meters. She also finished 11th in shot put with another season-best and CC-qualifying distance of 10.38 meters before placing 43rd in discus with a 22.47 meter toss to round out her performance.
- Madelyn Roberto came in 26th in pole vault with a CC-qualifying height of 2.50 meters.
THE INSIDE STORY
- Cassidy Gorham finished 13th in the 1500 with a personal-best and season-best time of 5:15.70. She also placed 38th in the 800 with a time of 2:38.85.
- Ava Romano came in 18th in the 1500 with a personal and season-best time of 5:19.07. She added another personal and season-best time of 2:42.05 in the 800 finishing 45th.
- Lindsay Hickman competed in the 1500 finishing 24th with a personal and season-best time of 5:26.76.
- Jess McLaughlin placed 40th in the 800 with a personal and season-best time of 2:40.13. She also competed in the 1500 placing 22nd with a time of 5:22.73.
- Kyla Lorden finished 17th in the 5,000 with a time of 21:46.21.
- Ainsley Kilbreth came in 31st in discus with a season-best toss of 25.96 meters. She also finished 38th in javelin with a distance of 19.46 meters.
