SATURDAY'S FIRST PITCH: The Centennial Conference (CC) doubleheader marks the 125th and 126th all-time meetings between Gettysburg (11-12, 0-2 CC) and Muhlenberg (6-13, 0-2 CC) in a series that dates back to 1914. The Bullets lead the all-time series 70-54 but the Mules swept last year's series.

LAST SEASON'S SERIES AGAINST THE MULES: Muhlenberg rallied for a ninth-inning victory in game one, defeating Gettysburg 8-7 before needing a 10th-inning run to complete the sweep 4-3 last season in Allentown. Matthew Peipher led the Bullets with five hits on the day, recording three in game one and two in game two. SUNDAY'S FIRST PITCH: The Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 186th all-time meetings between Gettysburg (11-12, 0-2 CC) and Franklin & Marshall (8-13, 0-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1892. The Bullets lead the all-time series 114-70-1 but the Diplomats had won seven in a row entering Friday's game in Lancaster.

LAST SEASON'S SERIES AGAINST THE DIPLOMATS: In the series opener, Franklin & Marshall broke things open with a five-run sixth inning en route to a 9-5 victory over Gettysburg in Lancaster last season. JR McCloskey had a 2-for-4 day, also hitting one double and scoring one run. AJ Desautels, Spencer Berson, and Jakob Hoffman all hit home runs for the Diplomats. In the return engagement three days later in Gettysburg, Franklin & Marshall plated runs in six of the final eight innings while holding Gettysburg to only two to sweep the series with a 15-3 win. Jack Burke tallied two hits, including a run-scoring double. AJ Desautels hit his second home run of the series, and also tallied one additional hit, run, and three RBI. He also drew two walks. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg entered the weekend having been swept by Ursinus in last Saturday's conference opener. The Bears scored five runs in the seventh inning of game two to break a 10-all deadlock and complete a sweep. The Bears won game one 7-6 and took game two, 15-12. David Preziuso led the Bullets with four hits and four RBIs in the twinbill. Jakob Cantor led the Bears with five hits and three RBIs. (Full Recap) (Game 1 Box) (Game 2 Box)

STEALING THE SHOW: David Preziuso has stolen at least one base successfully in the last seven games. He is the catalyst for a team that is 81-for-92 in stolen-base attempts as a team. The 81 stolen bases by the team is the most known stolen bases as a team in program history. Individually, Preziuso is 23-for-25. The known program record for a single season is 24 stolen bases. Jack Burke has also reached double digits in stolen bases with 12 on the year. Haverford, with 84 swipes, is the only conference teams with more steals this season. The Bullets' 3.52 stolen bases per game ranks 10th in Division III.

LAST TIME OUT: Muhlenberg entered the weekend off two losses to McDaniel in the conference opener last Saturday. The Green Terror slugged four home runs in winning, 9-3 and 11-4. The Mules did some slugging of their own, in particular senior Ryan Friesen, who hit a pair of home runs in the opener. TOP HEAVY: Muhlenberg entered the weekend hitting just .258 as a team, which is ninth in the 10-team conference. The Mules have just three players who entered the weekend hitting .300 or better. Mason Mehling is hitting a team-best .333 with 16 hits in his 48 at bats. He has two doubles, one triple and a home run among his knocks. Ryan Riccio started the weekend with a team-high 21 hits and is hitting .300. Only five players on the Muhlenberg roster have double-digit hits in the team's first 19 games.

LAST TIME OUT: Franklin & Marshall entered the weekend, dropping the opener of a scheduled doubleheader with Swarthmore last Saturday, 7-1. Game two of the twinbill was postponed due to rain. Michael Von Zuben led the Diplomats with two hits. (Full Recap) (Game 1 Box)

GOING LONG: Franklin & Marshall entered the weekend with 16 home runs through the first 21 games of the year. Only Johns Hopkins has more long balls in the league with 37. Bobby Falese has four roundtrippers to lead the Diplomats while Drew Buters has gone yard three times. Spencer Berson and Jakob Hoffman entered the weekend with a pair of home runs. In total, nine Diplomats have hit at least one home run this season.
