OPENING TIP: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 62nd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (12-4, 3-1 CC) and Swarthmore (11-5, 3-1 CC) in a series that dates back to 1906. The Bullets lead the all-time series 32-29 but the Garnet has won 12 of 15 in the series, including in the conference semifinals last season after the Bullets swept the two regular-season meetings.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Swarthmore withstood an early 11-4 start by Gettysburg and eventually used a 25-9 run to open up a double-digit lead late in the first half, lifting the fourth-seeded Garnet to an upset of the top-seeded Bullets in the 2024 Centennial Conference semifinals. Nate Williams led the Bullets with a career-high 27 points, including hitting 10 of his 11 free throws. Vinny DeAngelo led for Garnet players in double figures with 23 points to go with six rebounds. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg used a late 11-0 run to fend off Dickinson and secure a 70-58 win on Wednesday to wrap a three-game conference road trip with three straight wins. Nate Williams led the Bullets with 18 points and five rebounds. Jordan Stafford added 19 points and three assists. Carl Schaller chipped in 19 points, including going a season-best 11-for-12 from the charity stripe, and four assists. Ryan Leskauskas led all scorers for the Red Devils with 21 points to go with seven rebounds. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

THREE OF A KIND: The backcourt trio of Carl Schaller, Jordan Stafford and Nate Williams are all averaging double figures for the Bullets this season. Schaller leads the way at 16.6 points per game and has scored 20 or more points in five of the last eight games and 17 or more in nine of the last 10 outings. Stafford is averaging 15.6 points per game and has reached double figures in nine straight games. Williams is at 14.2 points per game and has scored 18 or more games three times in his last six games.

LAST TIME OUT: Swarthmore extended its winning streak to three games with a 67-28 victory over Washington College on Wednesday. Zander Jimenez and Cal Hanson both scored in double figures to headline for the Garnet. Jimenez scored a game-high 14 points with three assists, three rebounds and six steals, while Hanson had 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

DEFENSIVE MINDED: The Garnet ranks third in the conference in scoring defense at 64.9 points per game - a total which shrinks to a league-best 52.8 points per game in Centennial games. The defensive numbers were buoyed by limiting Washington to just 28 points on Wednesday that included an 8-for-47 showing from the floor and forcing the Shoremen into 27 turnovers. Swarthmore has the best turnover margin in the conference at +2.5. Opponents turn it over at the highest rate of any conference team (15.2) against the Garnet while the team averages the third fewest turnovers at 12.7 per game.
