FIRST PITCH: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) doubleheader marks the 57th and 58th all-time meetings between No. 14 Gettysburg (29-4, 9-1 CC) and Haverford (15-15, 3-7 CC) in a series that dates back to 1997. The Bullets lead the all-time series 40-16 and have won the last six. The last Fords victory came as part of a sweep in 2019. 

LAST SEASON'S SERIES: A seventh-inning home run gave Gettysburg a 2-1 win in the opener at Haverford before the Bullets put up three three-run innings for a 10-2, five-inning game two victory and the sweep last season. Giovanna Komst led the Bullets with two hits in each game, totaling four hits, three runs and an RBI in the two games. Kyra Van Denburgh led the Fords with two hits in the opener. LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg scored multiple runs in four innings to sweep Franklin & Marshall, capturing game one 6-0 before taking the nightcap 6-1 on Tuesday. Anika Pelekis led the Bullets with six hits on the day with a double and three RBIs. Audrey Bergan added six hits of her own, recording three in each contest that included the 100th of her career in game one. Alexa Klepper led the Diplomats with two hits in game two. NO. 14 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg dropped one spot to 14th in last week's NFCA Div. III coaches' poll.

THANK YOU, SENIORS!: Today is Senior Day for nine members of the Gettysburg softball program. The seven players on the team have posted an overall record of 100-49 to date, including a 40-18 mark in conference play. The Bullets appeared in the conference tournament each of their first three seasons and won the title last season to advance to the NCAA tournament.

20-SOMETHING: Paige Forry reached the 20-win mark with a one-hit shutout in Tuesday's opener at Franklin & Marshall. She is the first Gettysburg pitcher in program history to win 20 games in a single season. It also gives her 58 wins in her Bullet career, passing Aileen Reilly for the career wins record.

LAST TIME OUT: Haverford was swept by visiting Swarthmore in a doubleheader on Tuesday, falling 5-1 in the opener before the Garnet prevailed 15-7 in six innings in a wild Game 2 that was briefy halted by rain. (Full Recap) (Game 1 Box) (Game 2 Box)

300-LEVEL CLUB: Six of the regulars in Haverford's lineup enter the weekend hitting .330 or better on the year. Rookie Kamaha'o Bode leads the team with a .360 average and is second on the team with 31 hits. She also has four doubles, two home runs and team-high eight home runs and has walked 13 times - the most on the team. Jocelyn Leal leads the team with 33 hits that includes 10 doubles. As a team, the Fords are hitting .311 on the year but that average drops to .271 in conference play.
