OPENING STATEMENTS
Gettysburg will look to make it back-to-back home victories as it hosts Juniata College on Homecoming. The Bullets, fresh off a 34-3 victory at Moravian College, are 2-4 and 2-2 in the Centennial Conference while the Eagles are seeking their first win of the season at 0-6 and 0-4 in conference play.
WELCOME HOME
As part of Homecoming festivities, Gettysburg College will add five new members to its Hall of Athletic Honor at an induction ceremony Saturday evening. This year's honorees -

Paul Hetrick '74 (wrestling),
Amy Washburn '94 (field hockey, women's lacrosse), and

ALL-TIME SERIES
Gettysburg holds a 15-8 lead in the all-time series that dates back to 1923. The Bullets have captured the last three meetings, including the last two since Juniata joined the Centennial Conference in football. The Eagles last win over Gettysburg was a 28-14 victory at Juniata in 1979.
LAST MEETING
Nick McConnell '09 rushed for 149 yards, none bigger than his game-clinching 53-yard touchdown run with 1:48 left, as Gettysburg rallied from a 14-7 fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Juniata 24-20 in Huntingdon last season.
Matt Flynn threw for 165 yards on 11-of-24 passing while rushing for additional 57 yards and one TD for the Bullets, who overcame 11 penalties for 90 yards. Defensive end
Josh Jerrold '09 had a big defensive game for the Bullets, blocking a field goal, breaking up two passes, and forcing a fumble on a sack.
Jay Leonard threw for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 19-of-39 passing and two touchdowns for the Eagles.

Gettysburg rushed for a season-high 300 yards and the Bullets held an opponent to a field goal for the second time in three weeks, defeating Moravian College 34-3 in Bethlehem last Saturday. Gettysburg, which jumped out to a 27-3 halftime lead, was led by junior tailback
Jamel Mutunga, who ran for a career-high 149 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries en route to being named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Junior tailback

Matt Flynn added 57 yards rushing on 10 carries while throwing for 144 yards and two touchdowns on 17-of-26 passing.
Juniata allowed just 233 yards of offense but committed six turnovers as the Eagles dropped a 14-0 decision to Muhlenberg College last Saturday in Huntingdon. Senior safety

THE GETTYSBURG OFFENSE
The high-powered Gettysburg offense continued to roll last week, piling up 444 yards at Moravian and, for the second week in a row, lead Division III in total offense (519.5 ypg). The Bullets are also 13th nationally in passing offense (321.7 ypg), 33rd in scoring offense (35.3 ppg), and 37th in rushing offense (197.8 ypg). Senior quarterback
Matt Flynn has spearheaded the offense, throwing for 1,913 yards and 17 touchdowns against just six interceptions. He has also rushed for 141 yards and a pair of TDs and ranks seventh in Division III in total offense (342.3 ypg) and ninth in passing (318.8 ypg). Ricky Manigat has caught 23 passes for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns while junior receiver
Gavin Jablonski (17 rec, 238 yds, 1 TD) and junior tailback
Jamel Mutunga (17 rec, 209 yds, 2 TDs) have also contributed. Mutunga leads the Bullets and ranks 32nd in Division III in rushing with 639 yards and five touchdowns on 138 carries.
THE GETTYSBURG DEFENSE
Gettysburg's defense is coming off its second stellar performance in three weeks after holding Moravian to three points and 240 yards last Saturday. For the season, the Bullets have allowed 163.5 yards rushing per game and 269.2 yards passing per game. Senior linebacker
Tim Widdoes, who has made 26 tackles over his last two games, leads the Bullets with 54 tackles while sophomore linebacker
Joe Delaney has made 48 hits and a pair of interceptions. Junior defensive tackle
Sebastian Sullivan has anchored the line, making 47 tackles, including 6.5 for loss and 3.0 sacks, to go with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries, while junior defensive end
Matt Coffey has added 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Junior cornerback
Tairi Mobley and junior linebacker
Bryan DiSabato have made two interceptions apiece, with DiSabato adding two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
THE GETTYSBURG SPECIAL TEAMS
Junior
Charles Curcio has handled the bulk of the Bullets return duties and is averaging 17.3 yards per kickoff return and 7.2 yards per punt return. He currently ranks 46th in Division III in all-purpose yards (145.8 ypg). Junior
Brian Betley has enjoyed a strong season at punter, averaging 37.8 yards per attempt, while junior kicker
Mike Barrett has made 22 of 24 extra points and four out of eight field goals.
THE JUNIATA OFFENSE
Juniata has struggled offensively this season, averaging just 3.8 points per game. Senior
Alex Snyder has taken the majority of the snaps under center, throwing for 639 yards and two interceptions while junior
Mike DeTemple has added 121 yards, one touchdown, and two INTs. The team's leading receiver is senior
Matt Dunker, who has made 20 catches for 244 yards, while sophomore
Abram Mellinger has added 15 receptions for 131 yards and one touchdown. Freshman
Julian Valdiserri has also made 12 receptions for 84 yards. Junior
Derek Kramer leads the team in rushing with 185 yards and one touchdown on 58 carries while freshman
Quadir Christian has run for 65 yards on 32 rushes.
THE JUNIATA DEFENSE
The Eagles are also coming off a strong defensive effort last week and have held two different opponents to 14 points or less. For the season, Juniata has allowed 148.3 rushing yards per game and 224.8 passing yards per game. Junior defensive end
Matthew Walton has been the team's top performer, making 6.5 tackles for loss, including 4.0 sacks, and 27 tackles overall. Junior linebacker

THE JUNIATA SPECIAL TEAMS

Matt Dunker and freshman
Quadir Christian have split the team's return duties, with Dunker returning 13 kickoffs for an 18.2-yard average and Christian averaging 23.3 yards on 12 returns. Christian has also averaged 4.4 yards on five punt returns. Sophomore
Owen Phillips has performed well at punter, averaging 37.6 yards per attempt, including 11 that have landed inside the 20 and four that have gone for over 50 yards. Freshman
Scott Andrews has seen limited time at kicker but has made both of his extra point attempts and converted 3-of-5 field goals.
TODAY'S COACHES
Gettysburg is coached by
Barry Streeter, who enters his 31st year at the helm of the Bullets. With 154 career victories, Streeter ranks 11th among active Division III coaches in wins. He is also 32nd on the all-time Division III coaches wins list. Streeter is Gettysburg's longest tenured and all-time winningest football coach.
Juniata is coached by
Carmen Felus, who is in his first season with the Eagles. Felus comes to Juniata from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach for the past three seasons.
CLIMBING THE CHARTS
While setting career Gettysburg records in every major passing category over the last two years, senior quarterback
Matt Flynn has been ascending the Centennial Conference all-time charts as well. He is now second in conference history in total offense (8,032), third in touchdown passes (54), third in passing yards (7,120), and third in pass completions (521). Other players who have broken into Gettysburg's top-10 lists this season include senior wing
Ricky Manigat, who is fifth in receptions (79) and ninth in receiving yards (923), junior wing
Charles Curcio, who is eighth in all-purpose yards (3,166) and eighth in receptions (71), junior receiver
Brian Betley, who is eighth in receiving yards (927), and senior linebacker
Tim Widdoes, who is eighth in tackles (272).
