Gettysburg announces three more additions to football staff

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Head coach Michael Green has announced three new additions to the Gettysburg football staff, bringing him closer to rounding out his initial staff for the 2026 season.

Hired on Jan. 13 as the Bullets' 27th head football coach, Green adds three new full-time staffers to his three coordinators that are already on board.

Connor Mundis and Gabe Marks join offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Trey Kavanaugh on the offensive side of the ball. Mundis will coach the offensive line while Marks has charge of the wide receivers.

Jacob DiRenzo rounds out the defensive staff as linebackers coach. He joins defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Zach Mallard and special teams coordinator and defensive line coach Shawn Magginson on that side of the ball.

Mundis comes to Gettysburg after spending last season as the offensive line coach and recruiting coordinator at Westminster (Pa.). He was a graduate assistant working with the tight ends in 2024. Last season, two of his offensive linemen garnered All-Presidents Athletic Conference honors after helping the Titans lead the conference in rushing offense (177.5 ypg). They also allowed the fewest sacks in the conference, giving up just 12 in 11 games.

Prior to his time at Westminster, Mundis served as a student intern and a strength and conditioning intern at Juniata in 2023. He was a four-year letterwinner as an offensive lineman at Juniata. Mundis played and started all 30 games of his collegiate career.

A native of nearby Dillsburg, Mundis played and started all 21 varsity games as a junior and senior at Cumberland Valley. From 2018-20, he served as the offensive and defensive lines coach for Cumberland Valley Youth Football.

Marks joins the Bullets staff after two years as running backs coach at Heidelberg. In his two seasons in charge of the running backs room, his squad rushed for more than 3,500 yards and 45 touchdowns. In 2025, the Student Princes rushed for 2,099 yards and 24 scores that included rushing for more than 250 yards and three touchdowns in each of the last three games. He mentored Drew Miller, who led the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) in rush yards with 1,383 yards last season. Miller picked up D3football.com third-team All-America honors and first-team All-OAC honors.

Marks was a four-year wide receiver at Muskingum. His final spring, he served as a student assistant assisting with individual drills for the wide receivers and helped with film breakdown.

DiRenzo comes to Gettysburg after the last two seasons on staff at Springfield. In 2024, he coached fullbacks, including the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Year. In 2025, he moved to the defensive side and coached outside linebackers. In addition to being part of a staff that extended the Pride's run of conference championships to five, DiRenzo also served as travel liaison and food coordinator in addition to running the scout offense last season.

Prior to his return to Springfield, DiRenzo was an assistant offensive line coach at Division I Albany for the 2023 season, helping the squad to a CAA championship and the national semifinals of the FCS playoffs.

He played fullback for the Pride and served as a student assistant in the spring of 2022 and 2023, assisting with the defensive line.

Gettysburg opens the 2026 season at Juniata on Sept. 5.
