PERRY, N.Y. – Seniors Joe Brody, Timothy Kurpis, and Kyle McGrath of the fourth-ranked Gettysburg College men's lacrosse team have been selected to play in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game, it was announced Monday.

The 69th annual contests will be held on Friday at Goucher College in Towson, Md. as part of a doubleheader. The Division III game will be played at 3 p.m. with the Division I/II game to follow at 5:30 p.m.

The three Bullets will represent the South squad.

A First Team All-Centennial Conference honoree, he was second among the Bullets with 48 points set a career-high with 33 ground balls. In the Centennial Conference, he was ninth in points per game (2.67), and 10th in both assists per game (0.89) and goals per game (1.78). In addition, Brody, a 2008 USILA Second Team All-American, became just the fifth player in school history to score 200 points when he reached the milestone in a win over Ursinus College on April 10. He remains fifth in points (207) while ranking sixth in goals (137) and seventh in assists (70).

Kurpis, a defenseman who was also named to the All-Centennial Conference First Team, helped lead a defense that led the Centennial Conference and is currently ranked 12th in Division III (6.67 goals per game). For the season, the 2009 USILA Honorable Mention All-American has picked up 31 ground balls while ranking second on the squad with 22 caused turnovers. Kurpis has also notched one goal and one assist on the offensive end.

McGrath is coming off a career-best season in which he was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Year and to the All-Centennial Conference First Team. The midfielder put together his best year at Gettysburg statistically, setting career-highs for goals (38), assists (19), points (57), and ground balls (39) while leading the team in goals and points. Among the Centennial Conference leaders, he finished seventh in goals per game (2.11), sixth in assists per game (1.06), and fifth in points per game (3.17). McGrath tied a career-high with five goals in wins over then-No. 5 Dickinson College and Franklin & Marshall College, and he dished out a career-high four assists in the Centennial Conference championship game against Haverford College.

Gettysburg closed out its season 15-3 (8-0 Centennial Conference) and advanced to the championship game of the Centennial Conference tournament before earning an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III tournament.
