GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Megan Feeg made a season-high 13 saves to earn her third shutout of the season and Gettysburg scored two second-half goals to beat Johns Hopkins University 2-0 in a key Centennial Conference match-up and the regular-season finale for both teams Friday afternoon at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium.
With the win, the Bullets (12-4, 7-3 CC) clinch the third seed and a first-round bye in the Centennial Conference tournament and will take on second-seeded Haverford College on Saturday, Nov. 3 at top seed and tournament host Franklin & Marshall College.
Johns Hopkins (8-9, 5-5 CC) will await the results of Saturday's conference games before learning its playoff fate.
The win was also the 121st career victory for Bullet head coach
Barb Jordan , who tied the program record for coaching wins held by current Gettysburg College women's lacrosse head coach
Carol Cantele '83. Cantele coached the field hockey team from 1992-2001; Jordan has been at the helm since 2002.

Ally Duggan each scored for the Bullets. Senior

Emily Kleinburd was also recognized before the game.
It was a scoreless tie at the intermission following an evenly-played first half in which the Blue Jays held a slight 11-10 edge in shots and a 10-8 advantage in corners. Feeg made seven saves in the opening 35 minutes while Hopkins' Elizabeth Peijnenburg stopped five shots.
Gettysburg's 13th corner of the game led to what held up as the game-winning goal with 23:43 left. Sawers started the corner with pass to junior
Liz Baron at the top of the arc, and Baron flipped a pass to Madden on the left wing. After a slight deflection, Madden sent a hard roller past a diving Peijnenburg and inside the left post for her third goal of the season. Baron picked up an assist along with Sawers, who earned her ninth helper of the year – the most since Emily Harwood '09 had nine in 2008.
The Bullets were awarded a penalty stroke with 13:50 on the clock, and Duggan came through with her sixth tally of the season – half of which have come on strokes.
Feeg made the lead stand up, making six of her saves inside the final 12 minutes en route to her eighth career clean sheet. Sophomore
Lexie Mowery contributed with a defensive save with just over 10 minutes left.
The Blue Jays outshot the Bullets 21-18 for the game while Gettysburg held an 18-14 surplus in corners. Peijnenburg finished with seven saves.
Gettysburg's Centennial Conference playoff appearance will be its ninth in the last 10 years.
