GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Sydney Grim has joined the Gettysburg field hockey staff as an assistant coach, announced by head coach Sara Redington.

Grim joins the Bullets coaching staff, joining Redington for her first year as head coach.

A four-year field hockey player for Division I UMass-Lowell, she appeared in 38 games for the River Hawks. She scored her first collegiate goal in a 5-1 win over LIU on Aug. 25, 2023.

While an undergraduate in Lowell, she served as a member of the athletics operations staff. She oversaw the athletics building after hours in addition to working in the laundry room and assisting with game day press box operations.

She has experience as a club coach, working with the True Grit Field Hockey Club in Weymouth, Mass.

Grim graduated from UMass in 2025 with a bachelor of science in criminal justice.
