GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Johns Hopkins used a 9-0 run late in the game to pull away and the Blue Jays snapped Gettysburg's seven-game winning streak, topping the Bullets 67-57 Wednesday evening in a Centennial Conference match-up in Bream Gymnasium.
The conference-leading Blue Jays (18-2, 13-2 CC), ranked No. 23 by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and No. 25 by d3hoops.com, were led by senior guard Stephanie Fong, who posted 16 points and seven assists while shooting 8-of-10 at the foul line. Hopkins has won its last six games.

Lauren Dadigan reached a career-high in scoring for the second game in a row, pouring in 17 points and shooting 7 of 8 at the charity stripe for Gettysburg (11-9, 9-6 CC), which lost for the first time since Jan. 7.
The Bullets led by a small margin for most of the first half, but a pair of Fong jumpers pulled the Blue Jays to within a point at 27-26 going into the break.
The visitors took the lead for good with 15:20 left, when KaraLea Follmer knocked down a jumper to make it 34-33. It was a just a 46-44 game with 6:52 remaining when the Blue Jays embarked on their decisive run, which was capped by a lay-up and a 3-pointer from senior guard Chantel Mattiola that made it 55-44 with 3:43 to go. The Bullets were unable to get closer than seven the rest of the way.

Caroline Murphy added 12 points apiece for the Bullets while Oursler also came up with four steals. Murphy and senior center
Sara Kinsley each handed out four assists.
Mattiola finished with 11 points while junior forward Alex Vassila contributed 10 points and eight rebounds for Hopkins.
Gettysburg returns to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, when it visits Ursinus College at 1 p.m.
