GETTYSBURG, Pa. – In her final collegiate outing, senior Liz Baron (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) registered two goals and one assist, leading the Gettysburg College field hockey team to a 4-1 victory over Dickinson College on Senior Day and the Bullets' season finale Saturday afternoon at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium.

Gettysburg (10-6, 5-5 CC) led 1-0 before breaking it open with three more unanswered tallies in the second half.

The Bullets' six seniors – Erica Barbuto (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough), Baron, Alexis Bralow (Philadelphia, Pa./Harriton), Ashleigh Guise (Biglerville, Pa./Biglerville), Rorie Lentz (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown), and Kelly Spieker (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) were honored in a brief ceremony before the start of the game.

Gettysburg outshot Dickinson 23-13, held a 12-8 advantage in corners, and handed the Red Devils (12-5, 7-3 CC) just their fifth loss of the season.

Baron put the Bullets on top 8:04 into the game, collecting a rebound and slapping in a shot from the left post. It held up as the only goal of the first half as the Bullets carried a 1-0 lead into the intermission.

Seniors teamed up for two of Gettysburg's second-half goals. With 23:22 left, Spieker sent in a corner pass from the right side and found Baron on the right wing. Baron wound up and drilled a shot that deflected off a defender and high into the cage for her 11th goal of the season, which led the Bullets for the year.

Two and a half minutes later, Bralow made a big stop on a penalty stroke, diving to her right to smother a low shot off the stick of Caroline Karwel.

The Orange and Blue continued to pull away when, with 14:56 remaining, freshman Hannah Fitzgerald (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) backhanded in a shot from the left side, making it 3-0. It was the 10th goal of the season for Fitzgerald, who matched the most goals scored by a freshman since Steph Fisher '00 also scored 10 in 1996.

Baron and Guise found themselves in a 2-on-1 breakaway late in the half. Baron drew the defender to the right side before crossing the ball to Guise, who shot the ball into a wide-open cage for her sixth goal of the year and pushing the Bullets' advantage to 4-0 with 3:41 to go.

Dickinson broke up the shutout on a Lauren Wyman rebound with 2:35 left.

Bralow finished with eight saves while Katy Schlechtweg stopped 12 shots.
