Box Score BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Sophomore setter
Stephane Blair (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) posted 37 assists and 20 digs to pace Gettysburg College past Bryn Mawr College 3-1 in Centennial Conference volleyball action on Saturday.
Gettysburg (12-10, 3-3 CC) picked up its fourth win in its last five matches with scores of 25-14, 22-25, 25-22, and 25-14 at Bryn Mawr (6-13, 1-6 CC). After dropping the second set, the Bullets fell behind 9-1 in the third set. The visitors made a furious charge, scoring 16 of the next 22 points to take a 17-15 lead on the way to the three-point win.
Blair recorded her third 30-20 line of the season and added three kills and two aces. Junior
Laura Bergin (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) picked up her fourth-straight double-double and ninth of the year with 14 kills and 16 digs. Seniors
Courtney Morrow (Greenlawn, N.Y./Harborfields) and
Joosje Grevers (Westport, Connn./Staples) each finished with nine kills.
Sophomore
Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) posted her ninth 20-dig performance of the year and fifth in sixth matches with exactly 20. Seniors
Hannah Bentz (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) and
Alesha Miller (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) tallied 12 and 11 digs, respectively, with Bentz adding three aces.
Gettysburg hosts McDaniel College on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m.
