Annie Reilly (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) had a hand in five of Gettysburg's 12 blocked shots as the Bullets maintained a strong hold on a playoff spot with a 53-42 victory over Dickinson College Wednesday night inside Bream Gym.
Gettysburg (16-5, 10-5 CC) grabbed sole possession of third place in the Centennial Conference standings, one full game ahead of Haverford College and Ursinus College. Dickinson (12-9, 8-7 CC) fell one game behind the top five with the loss.

Gettysburg's interior defense took control with five blocked shots in the second stanza. The lead dipped to eight on a lay-up by Kennedy Lesher with 3:04 to go, but the Bullets tacked on the final six points to cruise into the break with a 33-19 advantage.
The host's held a double-figure lead throughout the third quarter and jumped ahead by a game-high 18 (49-31) following a lay-up by senior
Emily Duggan (Marmora, N.J./Ocean City) with 6:07 to go in the game.
Dickinson sliced the deficit in half with a nine-point run. A jumper by Mary Martin pulled the score to 49-40 with just two minutes left, but sophomore
Emily Gibbons (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) came right back with a lay-up to push the advantage back to double-figures. Gibbons grabbed an offensive rebound with 29 seconds left to seal the victory.
Gettysburg's block total fell one shy of the school record set against McDaniel College last season. The Bullets came into the game ranked seventh in the country in defensive field-goal percentage and Dickinson felt that stat keenly by shooting just 25.8 percent.
Freshman
Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) led Gettysburg with 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Duggan tallied eight points, four rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and three steals. Reilly corralled a career-high 11 rebounds and scored seven points on top of her block total.
Martin led Dickinson with 14 points and four steals, while Lesher tallied seven points and 14 rebounds.
Gettysburg closes out its regular-season home schedule against Ursinus College this Saturday at 4 p.m.
