Gettysburg College Athletics

Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 53rd all-time meeting between Gettysburg (3-7, 0-5 CC) and McDaniel (2-9, 0-4 CC) in a series that dates back to 1948. The Bullets lead the all-time series 41-7-4 and have won seven straight. The last Green Terror victory was by a 2-1 score on Oct. 22, 2014.

WHEN LAST WE MET: A goal from Sam Woolery in the second quarter stood up as the only tally and led Gettysburg to a 1-0 win over McDaniel last season. Emilia Saccento made five saves in goal to earn the shutout. Mikayla Smith made seven saves in goal for the Green Terror. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: After a 1-all tie at the end of the first half, Swarthmore scored two goals in the third period for a 3-1 win on Saturday. Bella Bonazinga scored Gettysburg's lone goal of the game in the second quarter. Katherine Kohn had two of Swarthmore's three tallies. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

CLOSE CALLS: Eight of Gettysburg's 10 games this season have been decided by one or two goals, including four one-goal contests. The Bullets have had a pair of conference games decided by just one goal, falling behind 2-0 at Muhlenberg to drop a 2-1 decision and yielding a second-quarter tally at Franklin & Marshall last Wednesday to fall, 1-0. 

LAST TIME OUT: Paige Ney scored the game's lone goal with just 2:32 remaining in the first half to lead Wilson to a 1-0 win over McDaniel on Friday. The Green Terror outshot the Phoenix and held a large advantage in penalty corners, but could not find the equalizer in the second half despite a dominant fourth quarter. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

SCORING DROUGHT: McDaniel enters today's game on a six-game skid and have scored just two goals during the losing streak and are being outscored 14-2. Through 11 games, the Green Terror has scored just nine goals - three of which have come from Emma Legacy. Morgan Collins has added two goals while four other players have one goal each.
