LAST TIME OUT: After dropping the first set, Gettysburg battled back to a second-set victory but ultimately Johns Hopkins claimed the next two and earned a 3-1 win on Wednesday. HEAD OF THE CLASS: Kylie Ulrich and Chelsea O'Leary swept CC Players of the Week honors for last week. Ulrich earned the Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time while O'Leary snagged the Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season. Ulrich averaged 4.43 kills per set over her the seven-set week. She totaled 31 kills, including 17 in a 3-0 win over Penn State-Altoona on Wednesday before adding 14 in a 3-1 conference-opening win at Muhlenberg. She also contributed seven blocks on the week. O'Leary averaged 6.14 digs per set in the two matches last week. After 16 digs in a 3-0 win over Penn State-Altoona on Wednesday, she put up a season-high 27 in a 3-1 win at Muhlenberg in the conference opener on Friday night.
KNOCKIN' ‘EM DOWN: Kylie Ulrich has recorded nine or more kills in each of the last five matches for the Bullets, which included a career-best 17 knockdowns against Penn State-Altoona last Wednesday. She currently paces the team with 144 kills. Her 2.94 kills per set ranks seventh in the conference.
