THE SKINNY STORY
Johns Hopkins got the victory it needed in the final bout of the night to capture a 20-16 win over Gettysburg.

THE LEADERS
• Jake Stein (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) posted a 12-2 major decision victory at 141 to lead the Bullets.

FOR THE FOES
• Jake Pomykata wrapped up the night with the only fall of the match to give the Blue Jays the win.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• With the bout tied at 4-all, Dhilan Patel escaped in the opening seconds of the third period then earned a takedown for a 7-4 lead and a win at 125 for a 3-0 lead in the match before Luke Kowalski (Derwood, Md./St. John's College) responded with a 10-6 win of his own at 133 to tie the match at 3-all.
• Jake Stein controlled more than five and a half minutes of the seven-minute match for a 12-2 major decision at 141, giving Gettysburg a 7-3 lead in the match but Connor Powell answered with a major of his own at 149, winning 12-1 to tie the match once again.
• Heath Rudolph (Winchester, Va./Roanoke) earned a pair of third-period takedowns to secure an 11-5 win at 157 and put the Bullets back in front by three. A Jake Hoffman takedown midway through the final period proved the difference in a 4-1 win at 165, drawing the match even for a third time. Joe Paul made it back-to-back Blue Jays wins with a 17-5 victory at 174 for a major decision and 14-10 lead in the match.
• After giving up a takedown at 184, Justin Rhyne (Haddonfield, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial) got a nearly immediate reversal for a 4-3 lead midway through the third period then adding the riding time point for a 5-3 victory, closing the margin to 14-13. Brendan Loder (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) held on at 197 and earn a 5-2 win to give the hosts a 16-13 edge entering the final bout.
• Jake Pomykata, who had the advantage for most of the match, got a pin in the final 30 seconds to give Johns Hopkins the victory.
