THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg turned a one-point first set into a 25-19 victory, keying a 3-0 win over Ursinus.
THE LEADERS
• 
Catherine Holtz (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) led the Bullets with seven kills and four blocks on the day.
• 
Mary Huegel (Marlboro, N.J./Colts Neck) added five blocks, three kills, and an ace.
FOR THE FOES
• Caroline Sherman paced the Bears with 11 kills, hitting .360 on the day.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• The first set featured four ties and three lead changes with neither team holding a lead of larger than three through the first half of the set. Trailing 13-11, a pair of 
Erin Gonzalez (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) aces keyed a 4-0 run to take a 15-13 lead. Holding a 20-18 lead, back-to-back errors and a Gonzalez kill pushed the lead to 23-18. Two more errors and a Gonzalez kill wrapped up the 25-19 win.
• Ursinus jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set but a block from 
Catherine Holtz and 
Mary Huegel capped a 5-0 counter to take the lead for good. With a 15-10 advantage, Holtz dropped down a kill and the Bullets finished the set on a 10-1 run for a 25-11 victory.
• The third set had seven ties early, including at 10-all before a 
Kendall Erpenbeck (San Jose, Calif./Prospect) dumped a kill and Holtz followed with another to start run of seven straight points, opening up a 17-10 lead en route to the 25-18 victory.
THE INSIDE STORY
• 
Nala Shearer (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) steadied the defense with 17 digs.
• 
Kendall Erpenbeck chipped in 19 assists and three kills.
• 
Erin Gonzalez finished with five kills, two aces, eight digs and three blocks.
