GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg moved up three spots in the D3hoops.com Division III women's basketball poll when it was released on Monday evening.
After spending the first two weeks of the in-season rankings at No. 12, the Bullets claimed their first top-10 ranking in program history.
Improving on its best ranking in program history, Gettysburg received 406 points in balloting of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country.
The Bullets are moved up to 10th in the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Week 4 poll, released on Tuesday.
Junior
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) leads the team at 16.7 points per game while shooting 40.5 percent from the floor, including hitting 20 3-pointers. She also has 24 assists and 19 steals.
Junior
AB Holsinger (Charlottesville, Va./Langley) has handed out a team-best 36 assists to go with eight steals. She is also scoring 7.8 points per game.
Senior
Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) is nearly averaging a double-double on the year. She is pulling down 9.8 rebounds per game to go with 10.1 points per game. She has also blocked 31 shots and has eight steals.
The Bullets return to action against Williams at the Cruzin' Classic on Friday, Dec. 20. Game time is 12 p.m.
