GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg's most successful women's basketball season ended with top-10 rankings in both polls.
The Bullets (28-3) finished 10th in the D3hoops.com poll and were ranked ninth in the Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Div. III coaches' poll. It was the team's best final ranking ever in both polls.
Gettysburg won its fourth consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) championship after posting a 13-1 mark in the regular season and topping Johns Hopkins 68-60 in overtime for the title.
The Bullets then hosted the first four rounds of the NCAA tournament, advancing to the national quarterfinals for the first time in program history. Gettysburg opened the tournament with a 64-46 win over Stevens before rallying to defeat Western New England 55-52 in the second round. In the second weekend, the Bullets defeated Randolph-Macon 56-48 before falling to eventual national championships NYU 76-51 in the quarterfinals. Gettysburg's loss to the Violets was the closest margin of victory in six NCAA tournament games for the back-to-back national champions.
The Orange and Blue won a program-record 28 games on the year with three winning streaks of nine or more games. Head coach

Junior
Alayna Arnolie (Vienna, Va./James Madison) – a first-team All-CC selection and honorable mention All-American honoree by the WBCA – led Gettysburg in scoring at 15.3 points per game while senior
Shinya Lee (Rochester, N.Y./Holderness Prep School) – a first-team all-conference selection and the league's Defensive Player of the Year – was second in scoring (10.3 ppg) and led the team in rebounding (9.9 rpg). She also led the team with a program-record 91 blocked shots and was second on the team with 41 steals. Arnolie was tops on the team with 49 3-pointers and 73 steals while adding 64 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game.
Junior
AB Holsinger (Charlottesville, Va./Langley) led the team with 95 assists and scored 7.6 points per game. She also had 38 steals and 27 3-pointers.
