Gettysburg College Athletics

Today's non-conference game marks the 25th all-time meeting between Gettysburg (3-1) and Juniata (1-2) in a series that dates back to 1979. The Bullets lead the all-time series 19-3-2 but the teams have not met since 2005.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Krissy Browning and Meg Goddu scored two goals apiece to lead Gettysburg over Juniata 6-0 on Sept. 4, 2005 in Gettysburg. (Full Recap)

LAST TIME OUT: A pair of third-quarter goals broke open a 1-0 game and lifted Gettysburg to a 3-0 win at Washington & Jefferson on Sunday. Bella Bonazinga scored all three goals for the Bullets to record her first collegiate hat trick. Grace Erhard made 15 saves in goal for the Presidents. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

HATS OFF: Bella Bonazinga recorded her first collegiate three-goal game on Sunday at Washington & Jefferson. The hat trick was the first for a Gettysburg player since the 2016 season when three different players had three-goal outings. For the season, Bonazinga leads the team six goals and 12 points. She has scored at least one goal in all four games this season.

WORKING EXTRA: The Bullets finally played a game on Sunday that did not go to overtime. Gettysburg's first three games of the year all needed extra time to determine a winner. The Orange and Blue had played a total of four overtime games in Taylor Dyer's first two seasons at the helm. The team is 5-2 under Dyer in OT games.

LAST TIME OUT: Juniata lost its home opener to visiting #19 College of New Jersey on Saturday, 5-0. Kara Stringfellow got the start in goal for the Eagles, making seven saves. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

STARTING ON TOP: The Eagles opened the season with a 7-1 win over Allegheny but then have been outscored 7-1 in their last two games. Tess Ledeboer has scored three goals and added one assist to lead Juniata - all of which came in the opener against the Gators. Caitlin Steffie and Kaylyn Walters have added two goals apiece while Mallory Price rounds out the goalscorers in the early going with one tally.
