OPENING TIP: Today's Centennial Conference (CC) game marks the 60th all-time meeting between Gettysburg (14-4, 5-1 CC) and Washington (Md.) (7-11, 2-4 CC) in a series that dates back to 1924. The Bullets lead the all-time series 40-19 and have won four straight in the series. The last Shoremen victory was 70-63 in Chestertown on Jan. 22, 2022.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg scored the first 10 points of the second half to open up a 22-point lead and never looked back in a 67-39 win over Washington (Md.) on Jan. 20, 2024. Akim Joseph led the Bullets with 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jordan Stafford added 13 points to go with a season-best six assists. Kedrick Frink was the only Shoremen player to reach double figures, netting 11. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

SUITS AND SNEAKERS WEEK: The Gettysburg coaching staff is participating in the NABC's annual Suits and Sneakers Week game this afternoon. The signature annual advocacy and awareness initiative of the American Cancer Society and NABC’s Coaches vs. Cancer program runs through February 2. The nationwide campaign unites coaches across all levels of basketball to advance the American Cancer Society’s vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Throughout the week, coaches will wear suits along with their most eye-catching sneakers on the sidelines as a visible reminder of their commitment to advancing the fight against cancer.

LAST TIME OUT: Gettysburg shot 64 percent in the first half while holding McDaniel to just 7 of 24 from the floor to build a 44-19 lead at the intermission en route to a 69-53 victory on Wednesday. Nate Williams led the Bullets with 17 points. Lorenzo Carrara was one of four players to reach double digits with 10 points off the bench. Jonas Sujeta led the Green Terror with 18 points. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

A NICE RUN: Since a skid in late December and early January that saw Gettysburg drop three of four games, the Bullets have won five in a row. After a two-point, come-from-behind win at Franklin & Marshall to start the run, Gettysburg has won three of the last four by double digits. The Bullets scored 70 or more in the first three games of the stretch - all road games but were stuck at 69 points in the latest two games - both at home. However, the defense has limited the last three foes to 57.7 ppg after Ursinus reached 88 on Jan. 18.

LAST TIME OUT: Washington fell to Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday, 65-37. Nicho Simes led the Shoremen with 12 points. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

LOOKING FOR OFFENSE IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES?: Washington enters this weekend last in the conference in scoring offense at 56.8 points per game, which is 8.6 ppg fewer than any other league team. The Shoremen do, however, have the best scoring defense at 62.8 points per game. The Washington offense has yo-yoed over the last four games after being relatively consistent through the first 14 games of the year. On the last two Saturdays, the Shoremen have scored 71 (win over Muhlenberg0 and 63 (win over Haverford) but in the two Wednesday games during the same stretch, Washington has managed just 28 (loss at Swarthmore) and 37 (loss to Franklin & Marshall).
