Rawleigh to be inducted into CSCAA Hall of Fame

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the 2026 CSCAA Division III Hall of Fame Class and former Gettysburg head coach Mike Rawleigh is among those being honored.

The Hall of Fame recognizes the exceptional achievements and lasting contributions of NCAA Division III swimmers, divers, and coaches. The induction ceremony will take place on May 3, 2026, at Joe's Live in Rosemont during the CSCAA Annual Awards Celebration, hosted at the Loews Chicago.

Rawleigh spent 34 years guiding the men's and women's swimming programs at Gettysburg. During that time, he led the two programs to a total of 42 conference championships – 20 for the men and 22 for the women. He led the women's team to 15 straight conference titles from 1986-2000 and led the men's team to 10 consecutive titles from 1990-1999. A native of High Point, N.C., and graduate of the University of North Carolina, Rawleigh guided his swimmers to the NCAA Division III Championships on multiple occasions, resulting in a total of 118 All-America certificates and a pair of individual national championships. He won 548 dual meets between the two programs and was tabbed CC Coach of the Year a total of six times. In 2020, Rawleigh was named the winner of the Richard E. Steadman Award by the CSCAA Executive Board. The Steadman Award recognizes a coach who, in the opinion of the CSCAA and International Swimming Hall of Fame, has done the most to spread happiness in the sport of swimming and diving.

This year's Hall of Fame class includes 21 distinguished inductees, each honored for their remarkable accomplishments and enduring influence on collegiate swimming and diving.

Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, reflected on the significance of this year's class, "Congratulations to the 2026 Division III Hall of Fame class. This recognition honors swimmers, divers, and coaches whose exceptional careers have made a lasting impact on Division III swimming and diving. We celebrate these inductees not only for their achievements in competition but for the meaningful contributions they've made to their programs, their communities, and the sport as a whole."
The CSCAA Awards Celebration, held during the CSCAA Annual Meetings in Chicago, will also highlight the outstanding accomplishments of teams and individuals from the 2025–26 collegiate season. In addition, the Association will present its five annual major awards, recognizing excellence across all levels of collegiate swimming and diving.
