THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg put up a close game against Ursinus taking one doubles win and three of six singles wins however, Ursinus took the 4-3 win.
THE LEADERS
- Emma Ward (Falls Church, Va., George Mason) led the Bullets with a 6-0, 6-4 win at second singles. Her and Harper Wood doubled to earn a 6-2 win at second doubles.
FOR THE FOES
- Allie Armour led for the Bears winning at first singles with only dropping two games. Her and Bella Vassalluzzo took the first doubles win 7-5.
THE REST OF THE STORY
- Eden Levkov (Summit, N.J., Summit) beat Ursinus' Katie Yu 6-4, 6-4 at third singles. Her and Kate Alianiello (Fairfield, Conn., Fairfield Ludlowe) earned four game wins at third doubles before dropping the match 6-4.
- Kate Alianiello (Fairfield, Conn., Fairfield Ludlowe) won at No. 5 singles in a third tiebreaking set after dropping set one 6-4 but winning set two 6-3. She took the tiebreaker with a 10-2 win over the Bears' Kate Rubinkam.
- Sarah Guistwite (Carlisle, Pa., Wilson Hill Academy) and Shoshi Dondes (Pikesville, Md., Beth Tfiloh) doubled at first doubles winning five games to put a good fight before losing 7-5.
